In the early 1990s, on the bustling Grand Trunk (G.T.) Road, Gujar Khan, near Rawalpindi in Pakistan a small tea shop operated by a man known as Chai Khan became very popular and a heaven  for everyone, including truck drivers. This tea shop wasn’t just any chai shop—it was a vibrant, welcoming space infused with the owner’s warm hospitality and an appreciation for Pakistani art and culture. With walls adorned in the intricate and colorful patterns of famous Pakistani truck art and the air often filled with the melodies of live music, this Chai shop stood out as a community hub. His ability to foster a sense of belonging and celebrate local talent, from painters to musicians, made this small tea shop one of the most loved and visited landmark for travelers and other community Among those captivated by the beauiful art and flavours of this Chai shop was a young boy named Qasim, who lived in the same neighborhood. He spent many afternoons marveling at the colorful art, the rich aromas, and the heartwarming hospitality that defined the chai dhaba. Those experiences left a lasting imprint on him, becoming a wellspring of inspiration that would guide his journey in the years to come. As Qasim grew older and pursued new opportunities in Canada, he found himself longing for the vibrant culture, authentic flavors, and sense of community he had experienced back home. Feeling a deep need to connect people with the heritage and warmth he remembered, Qasim envisioned a place where those values could thrive in his new home, Canada. Drawing on the memories of Chai Dhaba, Qasim brought his vision to life by founding Pindi Dhaba in Canada. Inspired by the hospitality, warmth, and authenticity, Pindi Dhaba recreates the magic of that beloved Chai Dhaba. With its colorful truck art, authentic Pakistani cuisine, and a commitment to celebrating local artists, Pindi Dhaba is more than just a restaurant. It is a vibrant space where families and people from all communities come together to share food, art,  culture, keep alive the spirit and create new memories. Through Pindi Dhaba, Qasim honors the essence of art and flavours of Pakistan and his dedication to creating a place where everyone feels welcome—a place where food, art, and culture unite to tell a story of heritage, warmth, and vibrant hospitality.
